ASL – American Sign Language for the Alcoholic

ASL – American Sign Language for the Alcoholic

I was talking this weekend with one of my sponsees who shared with me a challenge she encountered in her home group where a visitor was on ZOOM who could only communicate using ASL, American Sign Language.  Luckily, they had someone else in the meeting who could interpret ASL for everyone.  She was grateful for the help in interpreting, but it brought into question, “How are we really meeting the needs of those who are otherly challenged in our meetings?”

In my conversation with her, I reminded her that A.A. has a YouTube Channel that has interpretations of the Big Book and the 12&12 (and much more) in ASL.  She had NO IDEA.  When I showed them to her, she was blown away.  That made me think, maybe I need to share it here.

Go check out A.A.’s YouTube Channel and see for yourself and make sure you share this with everyone in your A.A. network.  God bless!
